Candidate Resume Management & Search System

Case Study on Custom Software Development

Core objective

A centralized platform for managing candidate profiles, resumes, and recruitment operations across the MSVL Group.

The strongest way to present this project in your portfolio is as an enterprise recruitment management platform that transforms scattered resumes into a structured, searchable candidate database. The case study should emphasize resume parsing, advanced candidate search, mandatory keyword matching, bulk uploads, employee collaboration, and activity tracking.

The screenshots you shared support a visual storytelling approach: use the dashboard first, followed by the advanced search interface, activity logs, and candidate upload form.

Centralizing Recruitment Through Intelligent Candidate Search

MSVL GROUP · RECRUITMENT OPERATIONS PLATFORM

The MSVL Candidate Resume Management & Search System was developed to centralize candidate information and streamline recruitment operations across the MSVL Group.

The platform enables candidates and administrators to submit resumes, automatically extract relevant information, and maintain structured candidate profiles alongside original resume files. With advanced keyword search, mandatory keyword matching, and multi-criteria filtering, employees can discover relevant candidates without manually reviewing large collections of documents.

A centralized dashboard brings together candidate uploads, search activity, flagged profiles, comments, and operational reports. Role-based access allows administrators and employees to work within their permitted capabilities while collaborating through candidate comments and flags.

Built to support both individual and bulk resume uploads, the platform provides a more organized, searchable, and collaborative approach to candidate management.

Turning Resume Collections Into Searchable Recruitment Intelligence

Recruitment teams often need to manage large numbers of resumes containing information in different formats and structures. Finding candidates with specific skills, qualifications, experience-related criteria, or availability can become time-consuming when information is spread across individual documents.

The MSVL project addressed several operational challenges:

Fragmented candidate information: Candidate details and resumes needed to be organized within a centralized system.

Manual resume screening: Employees needed a faster way to identify relevant candidates without opening every resume individually.

Complex recruitment requirements: Searches needed to support multiple keywords, mandatory skills, and several candidate attributes simultaneously.

Limited collaboration: Teams needed a shared way to add comments and flags to candidate profiles.

Operational visibility: Administrators needed access to upload workflows, user activity, and system reports.

Everything Recruitment Teams Need, in One Place

The dashboard provides a centralized view of candidate records and recruitment system activity. Summary cards surface key indicators, including total candidates, newly added profiles, flagged candidates, and comments.

A recent activity section provides visibility into uploads, searches, and candidate-related actions, while quick-action controls help users navigate directly to common workflows.

This creates a practical starting point for daily recruitment operations and gives administrators a consolidated overview of platform activity.

Find the Right Candidate With Precision

The advanced search module is the core of the platform. It enables employees to search the centralized candidate database using keywords and apply multiple filters to narrow the results to relevant profiles.

Keyword search covers candidate names, designations, skills, education, profile summaries, and parsed resume content. The system also supports mandatory keywords, allowing users to specify terms that must be present in the search criteria.

For example, a recruiter searching for a backend developer can enter *react node mongodb to mark React as a mandatory keyword and include Node and MongoDB as additional search terms.

A Clear Record of Platform Activity

The activity log module records user actions across authentication, resume uploads, searches, and comments. Administrators can review activity by user, module, action type, and date range.

This gives the organization greater visibility into how the system is being used and helps administrators review operational events through a single interface.

By keeping activity records alongside candidate search and management features, the platform supports more structured oversight of recruitment workflows

Shared Context for Better Hiring Decisions

Candidate comments

Add and review contextual notes associated with candidate profiles.

Flags and tags

Mark candidates for attention and filter profiles by flag status.

Role-based access

Separate administrative capabilities from employee access.

A Unified Foundation for Recruitment Operations

The completed MSVL platform brings candidate submissions, resume parsing, structured profile management, advanced search, and team collaboration into one centralized system.

Employees can search across candidate information and resume content using mandatory keywords and combined filters. Administrators can manage single and bulk uploads, review activity logs, and oversee candidate records, while comments and flags provide shared context for candidate evaluation.

The result is a recruitment management solution designed to make candidate information easier to organize, discover, review, and maintain across the MSVL Group.
